Outreach Activities

We thank you in advance for participating in St. Demetrios' Lenten Outreach Activities. You may turn in your items to the ushers on Sundays or drop them off at the church throughout the week.   

 

Juvenile Hall Youth Letters (accepted throughout Holy Week)

​At the request of the San Francisco Juvenile Hall please be aware of the following requirements before writing your letter: 

  • Letters may be typed or handwritten.

  • Address your letter to "Youth of Juvenile Hall".

  • Please sign your letter by only including your initials. 

  • Include in your letter sentiments of encouragement and hope. It is perfectly acceptable to use scriptural passages in your letter. 

  • Please do not include any physical item in your letter. 

  • You may place your letter in a closed envelope. 

  • You may give your letter to the ushers on Sundays or drop it off at the church throughout the week.

  • We will compile all of the letters together and send them to San Francisco Juvenile Hall at the end of Lent. 

 

Baby Item Donations (accepted throughout Holy Week)

You may bring the items to church on Sunday or drop them off at the church throughout the week.  

Baby items in all sizes to be donated to the families aided by Shelter Inc:

  • Diapers

  • Pull-ups

  • Wipes

Donate School Supplies for Students Returning to 
In-Person Learning (accepted throughout Holy Week)

  • No. 2 Pencils

  • Loose Leaf Notebook Paper

  • Spiral-bound or Composition Notebooks

  • Folders

  • Three-ring Binders

  • Erasers

  • Rulers

  • Highlighters

  • Calculators (yes, they still use them!)

  • Index Cards

  • Bonus item- Backpacks!
